Are you looking for the perfect sax to start your legacy as the next big musician? Well look no further, we’ve got everything you need to know about which saxophones (sopranos, tenors, and altos) will help you on your journey and where to buy them.
Why does your first sax matter
Choosing the right saxophone as a beginner is a pivotal step in embarking on a musical journey. The saxophone, with its rich, expressive tones and versatile range, has captivated musicians and listeners alike for over a century. However, for those new to this instrument, the array of choices can be overwhelming, some being much better than others. From the type of saxophone to brand considerations, and from budget constraints to the long-term goals of the player, several factors come into play when making this decision.
The brand
There are some famous saxophone brands that you cannot go wrong with. For example, Trevor James, Yamaha, Selmer, Yanagisawa and many others. These tend to be on the more expensive side as they make professional horns with high quality control. Other companies like Amazon give a much wider range of products and are therefore not as specialised and focused on the quality of their saxophones. They produce cheap beginner saxes that most people (including me) will tell you to stay away from. So where is the middle ground between these two types of saxophones? In this list we have found saxophones that are more affordable and friendly to beginners to help you start your journey.
NOTE - Reviews will be made for all of these individual saxophones to help you choose what's right for your personal needs and let you know why they make this list.
